Green Grey Braised
Aspect and structure:
- The (non-perforated) facing brick is sanded on five sides.
- The surface may be given a frog (a slanted oblong groove) on its bed.
- The structure looks rugged with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface.
- The firing process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel kiln.
Colour:
- The brick has a green-grey base.
- The colour is obtained by a second firing of the bricks in a low oxygen environment.
- This process is responsible for colours that range from light grey to dark gray with green-grey shadings.
- The colours shown are a near reflection of reality.
