The innovative idea behind DUBIO comes from Maasmechelen designer Roel Vandebeek of ‘It’s a Roel’.

Creativity and innovation in one brick. Or is it two or three?

One brick that looks like two or three surprisingly thin bricks stacked on top of each other? Meet DUBIO. With this innovative concept, you get to realise designs that are unachievable with a standard brick. Place the brick horizontally, vertically or randomly and create the most intriguing shadow lines. The possibilities are endless.

A brick with subtle shadow joints creating the illusion of two or three remarkably thin bricks stacked together. Thanks to this creative collaboration, DUBIO became an innovative eye-catcher in the wonderful world of bricks.

Multiple awards for innovation and design

Over the years, DUBIO has convinced architects, designers and juries of prestigious awards alike. The innovative brick won the Henry Van de Velde Efficiency Award and the Product Innovation Award at the Belgian Building Awards, among others.

In addition, DUBIO shone internationally with awards such as the German Design Award, the Architecture & Design Collection Award, and most recently the BLT Built Design Award 2023.
